back to it

We've been back from Seattle for a bit. Words really can't express how much fun I had on this trip! We were incredibly busy with plans that included baseball, family, and friends. I loved every minute.

Avery and Claire started back at school on Tuesday. Doesn't Claire look thrilled?

We were running late, she had a clothing emergency, and a fleeting ray of sunshine was in her face. Oh well. Maybe we'll get better pics next year. The good news is that the girls love their classes and are really happy to be back.

I'm happy to be on a schedule again too. I've been back in my sewing room every day this week, working on quilt backs and bee blocks. Here are my latest, two yellow/pink/brown improv blocks for the do.Good Stitches charity bee.

I'm also dreaming of a little sewing room revamp (paint, ugh! and lots of shelving) and planning some projects that are due this fall. It's right around the corner!

Are you feeling the pressure to get started on your kitchen bee block? I am! I want to get Mark's quilt done first though. I like to do one thing at a time. My kids start back a week from Weds. Don't you love clothing emergencies? I know we will have lots of those with Lily this year.

Wow! Love your quilts, love the sign in your bathroom! Next time you come to Seattle - my home - we need to meet for lunch at a fabric shop! I can't remember how I found your blog but I will definitely be back!
