scenes from the weekend

Whew, is it Monday already? I'm pooped. So here's an abbreviated version of the weekend:

Mullet Removal/First Haircut (Cooper was starting to look like an 80s hearthrob, which was not cool.) Avery was our official photographer. The photos are all pretty funny.

Sewing-in with the Anchorage Modern Quilt Guild. We made some improv blocks a la Denyse Schmidt and ate some of the best cookies and cinnamon rolls ever. I also started a super secret project for Rob that will hopefully be revealed next week.

Do I look tired? Because I am. Drama-free teething no longer exists in this house.

SNOW! It stuck to the mountains, but we got a bunch of flakes down low too. Winter is on it's way!

Lasagna for dinner-- and the next couple of days for lunch. Good stuff. In fact, it's the best lasagna recipe you could ever make and has been the only one I've used since I was in high school. If you want it, let me know.

And have I mentioned how much I love my blogging friends? It's good to be a Krista.

It's 25 degrees outside right now at my house. Here's hoping it's a bit warmer where you're at! Have a good week!

Sorry to hear the teething has turned! I love the haircut pix, man he's cute. All of the improve blocks look great - it's wonderful that you got a retreat day in with friends.

It is good to be a Krista, isn't it?

Bummer about the teething! The first haircut pictures are so cute. We haven't cut P's hair yet but her hair is starting to get in her eyes. If she won't start keeping the hairclips in, we will have to cut bangs. I really don't want to though. The improve blocks look like fun and I can't wait to see the surprise project! I love hearing about the weather in Alaska so keep that up. Does that make me sound like an old person?? I just haven't travelled at all so hearing about different places is fun! Today is in the 60s and raining in New England.

OK so I haven't found much snow yet as I haven't got that far back but (i) none of my four kids has ever been sick in my mouth although Eve was sick in Nigel's mouth; and (ii) can I pleeeeze have the lasagne recipe??? I cannot cook but have said I will make lasagne Saturday night (for my birthday party at my house where everyone has to bring some food!) and NEED your recipe!

Just another Ann who wants your lasagna recipe. I found you through the other Krista (Poppyprint) I absolutely love your mountain quilt--may I make a version of it? I have a son and a brother who both would love it.

I just showed your picture to my husband and asked who does she look like. He said Megan (our daughter-in-law), lives here in Kodiak also. She is a stay at home mom of two (boy 6 and girl 2) and she sells Pampered Chef. Our son Travis works for ACS. I need to go back and take a better look at the haircut pictures. He's cute as a bug!

I'd love to have your lasagna recipe. I make mine without boiling the noodles. It's a real time saver.
