This quilt was born out of procrastination since the shower tonight snuck up on me. I think the rush worked to my advantage though, because it forced me to do something very simple. This came together in about 3 hours this morning. With 45 minutes left before I had to leave, I decided I could put the finished quilt on the 20-minute "speed wash" to make it all crinkly. Well, 20 minutes turned into 40 minutes when the spin cycle just kept going, so I had to take the wet quilt and finish it off in my aunt's dryer!
The fabrics all came from my stash. The backing is an Alexander Henry print that I have had for a long time and loved, but never really knew what to do with. I was thrilled to find it in the stacks and it worked perfectly!

Fabulous quilt Krista! You have been a sewing fool lately. I guess that having the girls back to school is giving you more time during naps!
Krista this is so wonderful. I hope it was well received yesterday! We left the sex of our kids a secret until delivery and it is such a fabulous surprise...I never "knew" which sex we were having!!
