(belated) scenes from the weekend

I was in Seattle for the weekend with my mom and Cooper, to help celebrate my lovely sister-in-law Jamie's 30th birthday.

I gifted a simple zip pouch, with an always appreciated Nordstrom gift card. The woman loves shoes.

We feasted on the season's first Copper River king salmon at The Herb Farm, tasting things like roe on salmon skins, and egg yolk couscous with sea froth.

The gardens there were AMAZING. So inspiring.

We enjoyed lots of family during a barbecue at Scott and Jamie's new house.
In between meals, I was able to hit both Anthropologie and IKEA. They had just what I needed.
And while we were gone, a certain someone learned how to ride her bike without training wheels. So cool.

All in all, a great weekend. School is out for the summer on Friday, so more fun is ahead!

Hunh? Wha? School is out this Friday? What's with that? When do they have to go back? My kids are going to the bitter end, right to June 30th. Ugh. Short summer for them this year.

Seattle sounds like it was really great and that food looks amazing! Glad you had a nice weekend.

Wow, your kids are out of school early! We go till the end of June (preschool is out at the beginning of June though).
I don't think I would have dared try any of the food you ate! But the gardens look amazing!
