yummy fabrics from maze & vale (and don't forget about Purse Palooza!)

Check out these lovely fabrics that I got from Leslie Keating at Maze & Vale recently:

Goodies from Maze & Vale!!!

Leslie sent me some fat quarters of her hand printed fabrics, and I also purchased one of her DIY oobee kits. Aren't her oobees the sweetest? Good news is she also just announced a fabric sale in her shop that ends this Sunday-- it's a great time to scoop up her amazing fabrics for a huge deal.

I've got ideas brewing for some baby things out of the fabrics-- possibly a playmat and some other smaller items. I just need to stop all of the unnecessary house scrubbing (I don't think the baby will care that our gas grill has been detailed, for instance) and get back to work in my sewing room. I vacilate between non-stop nesting and complete and utter exhaustion these days. It's maddening really, but with maybe a month to go until this baby shows up, I figure I just need to roll with it.

Amanda's Knitting Bag

Also, today I'm being featured on Sew Sweetness as part of Purse Palooza! I'm reviewing "Amanda's Knitting Bag" from The Sometimes Crafter. I whipped up a second version using some of my favorite Echino fabric-- the pattern does not disappoint. Check it out!

Great bag Krista! The fabrics are fabulous and will work up into something wonderful. Hard to believe so much time has passed since retreat, hopefully the next few weeks will provide time for some time to sew before the little one arrives.

i LOVE the diy oobee! those fabrics would make a killer playmat. i would love to see what your version of a playmat might look like - i have a 2 month old boy who will soon be needing a little more stimulation than just my silly face.
