Fat thirds! I love it! And I guess this means we should make some little zippy pouches?

Soups, stews, chili. Don't tell my husband but I am happy that fall sort of means the end of BBQ season! It is not my favorite, but all of these cozy, hot, cooked-indoors meals are the best!!

Love it! Fat thirds - perfect! Scumptious colours, too! (could my favourite "meal" be fabrics?)
Seriously, I love a nice pot of soup in the fall and I've got an Autumn soup recipe that I love - thick with veggies and some Italian sausage and just so yummy! Served with some fresh bread or biscuits and the cold and damp just disappear!

Chicken pot pie! Tomorrow I'm going to try Alicia Paulson's suggestion and top Ina's stew with sweet potato biscuits! It is still about 80 degrees here in Florida but sometimes you just have to pretend like it's cold outside to get into the seasonal spirit :)

Fall fabric and zippers and all I have to do is talk about one of my favorite hobbies--eating! I am so in...my favorite meal may be what we had today. My husband smoked a big Boston Butt and ribs. Mmmm... But then again, it might be a creamy soup and crusty bread. Or maybe, well you get the idea. Awesome giveaway!

Not really a meal but ,in France, during fall, we find "marrons grillés", It's chestnuts cooked over a wood fire.
We cook it at home or we buy it from street vendors , they are in small "paper cones", it warms your hands and it's very good!

Brown 1 lb of burger with a chopped onion and throw in a can of diced tomatoes with juice, a can of black beans, drained, a can of corn with juice and a can of olives drained. Add a packet of taco seasoning and some water and Viola, a hearty Fall soup that's great served with cornbread.

Sunday lunch - roast beef, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, roast butternut squash, gravy, sprouts, cabbage, yorkshire puddings, glass of wine or two, a kitkat or two for afters and then lie on the sofa under a quilt with a pillow under my head and see the first and last five minutes of a film, being asleep during the vital middle bit. If it's Inception, haven't got a clue what's going on.
