I can't believe I haven't posted in over a week. It's been busy, in a lazy fall kind of way. I want to do things, but at the same time I just want to get things in order for the cooler weather. This little guy is all over the place too:
And that means that I've been busy chasing him all over the house, trying to keep on top of dog hair and all of the other things that he wants to put in his mouth all day long.
I have been crafting a bit though. One quilt is basted, two more tops are pieced, and I've become a bib-making factory during what seems to be quite the baby boom in the last month.
What I'm really focused on though is a big birthday this weekend. Claire is turning 8! We're celebrating it with family, plus hosting a sleepover with friends. My plan for coping is to keep all little people very busy with activities and just hope that they go to sleep before midnight. Any ideas? Maybe I can serve turkey for dinner...
p.s. It's moose rutting season! My morning walks just got a little bit scarier.

yay! easy bibs! did you use terry cloth? good stuff or run of the mill?
I seem to have a pet Black Bear who likes the salmonberries in my yard. But he's nowhere near as scary as a pet moose. :)
Oh goodness! I have to show the moose photo to my kids! We get all excited when we see a heron or hawk or horse when we are out for a walk. This they will not believe!
Oh my!
Only in Alaska.
You have done all that crafting this week? I'm in awe. I've finished one crocheted cuff...and burned a few discs for a friend.
Crafty fail.
Uhm, I would wet my pants!!!! Thankfully no Moose here!!
Be careful!
Blessings,

O M G ... and I'm whining about howling coyotes... becareful --
Oh my goodness. If I saw that moose on my walk, my walk would turn into a run!!
What the....that is just so funny.....here in Oz we get kangaroos, wombats, koalas sometimes walking around...but a moose...I think I would quickly walk in the other directions.
A moose!!!!! My big excitement is a saw a black squirrel running around the other day and not the usual gray ones.....pretty boring compared to your adventures!
Oh, I am so jealous! When we lived in Minnesota (1&1/2 winters, thankyouverymuch) I prayed and prayed I would see a moose. No such luck. Are they very scary? I guess I have this hilarious idea in my head that they are gentle giants or something, ambling through town like on Northern Exposure, one of my favorite TV shows, RIP...;)
My daughter lives for moose- I can't wait to show her this!!!
wow! I'm not sure what I would do if I ever came that close to a moose!
holy cow! that moose is HUGE - it's bigger than your car!! i had no IDEA they were so big!! scary!!
O M G :-) I get crazy the moose, they're beautiful, fantastic, amazing.... unbelievable, that this came so close it moose. When I lived in Sweeden I would like to see, I never saw a moose yet in the nature, I saw only moose in Stockholm Skanzen :-) Greetings from Budapest :-) Suzie
