scenes from the 4th of July weekend

I am oh so close to having my sewing room ready to use-- the fabric is back on the shelves and my machine is serviced and back home! I'll need to do some catch up on bee blocks and a couple of swaps first, but then I'll start working on projects to keep.

We had an interesting weekend to say the least. Life won't be slowing down any time soon! But the highlights:

We went to a bbq with family and friends, complete with badminton and impromptu costuming.

We celebrated a belated Father's Day for Rob, since vacation overshadowed the original day. He really is the best dad I have ever seen. I'm so proud to have him as my husband and feel very lucky to get to raise children with him.

We also took our first family bike ride since Cooper has come along. I learned that baby helmets are nearly impossible to find, and that it's a lot easier riding a bike this summer now that I'm not pregnant. Hooray to that!

Hope you had a good one!
