But I have been sewing. My latest finish was a wall hanging version of Ingrid. Seen in baby form here. It's a quilt that I love to make every time.
I've also wanted to learn how to make boxed pouches for a long time, so when Bonnie of Pink Stitches posted this tutorial on her blog a couple of weeks ago, I gave it a try. I loved it! So much easier than I thought it would be.
So there we go! Hopefully I'll be back more often. (And with photos taken with a real camera, that are not grainy and taken off of Instagram. Sorry about that.) I've missed this place.

Welcome back! Moving (especially with small kids!) is soooo much work! We moved last summer and I never want to do that again, so much stress and work. I love the fussy cuts in your quilt, especially the HR mermaids ;-) I haven't tired that little pouch tutorial, I'll add it to the list. Would love to keep up with you on IG, what is your user id? I'm @quiltsnkids
ReplyDeleteI love the new little "Ingrid Quilt" and Boxy zipper pouch. Moving? Best of luck to you and your sweet family!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you back....we just moved so I totally sympathize!!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt and pouch are lovely. I am glad to see you back and totally get how busy life can get.

I love the little quilt--so lovely! I was very happy to see your post--thanks for taking the time to share your beautiful work. The photos look great to me :-)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! We've missed you too! Even though I get to see snippets of your work elsewhere I do love to read your blog posts.
ReplyDeleteLiving the life that we love at times gets in the way of doing some of the things we love. I think every mother/wife/human understands that feeling! Now I am off to look at that box pouch tutorial....

How cute and sometimes things are just too busy to update :) Don't worry though I am sure people just enjoy when you can share :) How awesome is that sweet little quilt. I bet it is very enjoyable every time you make it!!
ReplyDeleteI did a lot more sewing with a baby under foot than following a toddler around town. I may never be much of a blogger because drive-by instagramming is more my speed, especially now that my babies are becoming teenagers.
ReplyDeleteThis is just the way to come back =). Really, any way works! Glad to see you.
ReplyDeleteI"m going to try making that box pouch! It's great..
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome back.
Glad your move is done and you can take a breath! I love your Ingrid quilt in all its variations.
